EXYO Planet Update
We are already, halfway through our season, and we are focused on our milestone performance coming up in May at the Boch Center–Wang Theater.
This year, for our 30th anniversary performance, we’re creating EXYO Planet, an ideal world where we all live in peace together. We’re working hard — creating the set, dancing, drumming, singing — and we can hardly wait to share it with you.
We are truly grateful to our dedicated supporters for the impact they’ve had on our community. From our first performance in the Wang Theater lobby to those who’ve just recently discovered Express Yourself — the support is deeply appreciated.
Kids who participate in our programs do so at no cost to them or their family. This investment in mental health is helping to build a creative, resilient community that benefits all. Increased participation and a growing waitlist are a real testament to the need for what we do.
In the studio as well as in residential treatment programs, EXYO kids benefit in many ways from creating and sharing arts experiences. But it’s the feeling of connection and belonging that may have the greatest impact. For a young person to know they are part of a creative community, accepted for who they are, and that their contributions matter — this builds confidence and resilience that stays with them as they grow.
