Inner and Outer Worlds
Inspired by Vietnamese American artist Dinh Q. Lê, ExYo teens explored photo weaving to create dream-like self-portraits. The costumed characters posed in both open and expressive, and closed ways. Teens wove the black and white portraits and color portraits together, adding embroidery and paint markers for connection, the final piece a reflection of their inner and outer worlds.
