Lesley Interns Immersed in the Creative Process
Interns from Lesley University– Mollie Lesnever and Jessica Wilson joined us in the studio this year. EXYO has partnered with Lesley University to provide internship opportunities for their students for over ten years.
Mollie and Jess have created and collaborated with original, success-oriented art projects for our youth. Their work has been characterized by their open hearts, compassion, and contagious kindness, helping our youth navigate new artistic skills. Interns have been visiting hospital units and residential treatment centers, additionally helping on site in the studio.
Mollie is pursuing her MA of Mental Health Counseling with Expressive Arts Therapy Specialization and has a passion for acting and teaching theatre. She is excited to be a part of the EXYO team and gain experience working with youth of many different ages and backgrounds.
Jess is also pursuing her MA of Mental Health Counseling with Expressive Arts Therapy Specialization, but her passion lies with visual arts exploring painting and clay. EXYO is an ideal internship opportunity for her, deepening her understanding of how the arts contribute to healthy connections.
Working with youth and core staff collaboratively, their hard work and dedication will continue towards the culminating performance WILD & FREE on May 26, 2022 LIVE at the Wang Theater.
