Mentors Share Inspiring Stories At Friendraiser!

This past Saturday, our Express Yourself mentors shared inspiring personal success stories in front of over 100 friendraiser attendees.  Their powerful stories highlighted their strength and vulnerability as they shared how Express Yourself has been a source of support through personal challenges and struggles. On exhibition was their personalized lightbox portraits, composed of stories and poems that were created within their mentor group.. One of our mentors even included the intricate rhythm patterns from our drumming group that she has been playing and learning over the last ten years. Youth welcomed guest singer Amanda Mena, who came to celebrate our Valentines Day Friendraiser and was deeply moved by their words. We are immensely proud of their work as leaders in our community.
