Summertime in the Studio
Express Yourself’s summer 1:1 Come Together pilot program kicked-off this week, welcoming back youth to the studio after a year of virtual learning. Many new youths joined ExYo during the pandemic and this was their first time in the studio. Working 1:1 with familiar staff members, youth spent their first day exploring music with co-director Stan Strickland and designing bright watercolor insect kites on special tie-dye paper. This pilot program will ease the transition from individual virtual learning to in-studio collaboration as we prepare for our exciting fall programming.
