Welcome Hannah School Fifth Graders
Welcome to our first class of fifth graders from the Hannah School in Beverly. This is our third year partnering with the Hannah School to enhance their STEAM programming through our arts immersion model. Each fifth grade class will experience Express Yourself through four in-studio workshops encompassing visual arts, movement, music, and African drumming. They will also visit the Peabody Essex Museum for a guided tour of the exhibition XYZT. The Hannah fifth grade students will participate in our grand year-end performance and the artwork that they create during these sessions will also be a part of the set design for Alive! Today, our first class participated in movement exercises to acclimate to the studio and introduce them to this year’s theme, Alive. They then created dozens of individual neon colored leaves that will become a part of their props for our show at the Wang Theater. We had an exciting first day and can’t wait to see what they create throughout the year.
