IMAGINE NATION Station: Week 4
Fun News!
Imagine Nation Station in-person ZOOM sessions have begun for all youth – same studio times as their weekly sessions!
We have also initiated a program called Come Together for youth working virtually with staff on a 1-1 basis. Please contact info@exyo.org if you’re interested in joining.
We are busily preparing for our virtual performance scheduled on our original date of May 21, 2020. All art work generated will be included in the performance. We are trying to make this as fun as we can for kids! Keep posted!
Express Yourself youth should look for a bright yellow envelope from Imagine Nation Station that will be delivered to your home filled with art materials to brighten your week.

Wednesday: Virtual Tour
Grand Canyon National Park
Some of Earth’s most beautiful and inspiring locations can be seen from home during this time of social isolation. Using Google Earth, you can explore the wonders of the world from your couch!
Today we want you to explore the Grand Canyon National Park. It is VAST, so take your time looking around the park.
When you’ve found a view that inspires you, create a drawing or painting in response. Maybe it is a realistic drawing of the lines and depth the park has to offer, or maybe it’s abstract – let the colors and layers inspire you!
Whatever it is, go explore and get creative!
Here’s how you use Google Earth:
- Click HERE for Google Earth Link
- Then click the BLUE “Fly Here” button (with a paper airplane on it)
- To see from ABOVE
- Use the + and – signs to ZOOM in & out of the image
- Then Click around the image to move in space
- To see from the GROUND (or from the River Canyon)
- Click the little person icon and drag them to a spot you want to see
- This will then change the view so it feels like you are there!
- You can click around the image to move around/turn around
- Or click on the white arrows to move forward and backwards along the canyon
- To tilt your view from 2D (flat from above) to 3D (with dimension), click the 2D/3D button.
- This will also take you OUT of the GROUND view back to ABOVE view
