Raising the Sails in Memory of Laraine Cicchetti
We sadly and unexpectedly lost our dear friend and colleague Laraine Cicchetti, a talented teacher artist who has been with us since 2018.
In March, Laraine brought in her sail for us to borrow and had the idea bringing in David Coffin, shanty singer, as part of this year’s performance SPLASH. Her personal sail will be hoisted by 20 youth on the stage on May 25th. For those that know Laraine and her love of the ocean- it will be a special moment to remember her. This performance piece was already in the works prior to her untimely death and it is a special gift to all of us that her sail will rise.
The 29th annual performance celebration SPLASH on May 25, 2023 will be dedicated to Laraine Cicchetti.
